Everyone loves a good dessert, but not everyone loves the time it takes to measure out and bake something homemade. Well, not only is your slow cooker the answer to homecooked meals on a busy schedule, it is also the answer to a delicious homemade dessert, We give you an easy "dump" peach cobbler recipe that just might tempt you to invest in a second slow cooker just for desserts.
Ingredients:
2 cans of cut peaches (21 oz each)
1 box vanilla cake mix
8 oz butter cut into small chunks
1/3 cup walnuts (optional)
Vanilla ice cream
Dump the ingredients into your slow cooker, peaches first, followed by cake mix, cut butter, and walnuts. Do not stir or mix. You can also sprinkle in some nutmeg and cinnamon for a warmer flavor.
Cover and cook on high for 2 - 2.5 hours.
Spoon into a bowl and serve with a scoop of ice cream. While it may not have the crispy layer of a traditional cobbler, it more than makes up for it in flavor and simplicity.
